22,000 Voting Cards are Distributed in Kurdistan Region

The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) has reported that over 32 thousand individuals have been issued biometric voter cards across all provinces of Iraq, with the majority being distributed in the Kurdistan Region.
IHEC released its weekly report on the distribution of biometric voter cards until July 4, 2024. PUKMEDIA received a copy of the report, which revealed that a total of 32,280 biometric cards were distributed across all provinces of Iraq. The majority of these cards, specifically 22,004, were distributed in the provinces of the Kurdistan Region.
Sulaymaniyah Province, (Including Halabja Province), is leading among the provinces of Iraq and the Rnearby area in terms of the distribution of biometric voter cards. A total of 8298 cards were distributed in Sulaymaniyah. Erbil follows closely with 7924 cards distributed, while in Duhok 5782 voters received their cards in the past week. Kirkuk ranks bottom in Iraq overall, with a distribution of only 85 voter cards.
