Security Council & INIS's meeting in Erbil
The Kurdistan Region's Security Council and the Iraqi National Intelligence Service had a collaborative meeting to extensively discuss combating the remaining elements of terrorism. During the discussion, decisions were made in accordance with the relevant laws and the best interests of the nation.
The meeting took place in Erbil on Tuesday, with the presence of Jalal Sheikh Naji, the Director of the Parastin and Zanyari Agency, Hiwa Ahmed, the Director of the Kurdistan Region's Asayish Agency, and Rebar Ahmed, the Minister of Interior, as stated in a press statement given to PUKMEDIA.
The statement highlights that in addition to addressing information exchange, intelligence coordination, and security concerns, both parties stressed the importance of enhancing collaboration among security agencies and integrating intelligence activities to achieve better stability, security, and peace within the country.
Another item discussed at the meeting was the strategies to combat the remaining elements of terrorism, as well as the resolution of obstacles and mutual concerns. These matters were carefully assessed and decisions were reached in accordance with the relevant laws and the best interests of the nation.
