PUK Elections Bureau & UNAMI Delegation
The Elections Bureau of the Patriotic
Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq
(UNAMI) have emphasised the importance of holding timely parliamentary
elections in the Kurdistan Region.
On Tuesday, Rizgar Haji Hama, Head of the
Elections Bureau, in the presence of Hakim Sabir, Head of the Election
Administrative Board, received the Office of Electoral Assistance of UNAMI.
The UNAMI delegation was led by Aamir
Arain, Director of UNAMI Electoral Assistance, and included some advisors. The
discussion centred on the Kurdistan parliamentary election process, emphasising
the importance of conducting it on time.
