Initial results indicate that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) emerged as the victor in the Iraqi provincial council elections' special voting-the voting of the security forces and IDPs- conducted on Saturday, securing the majority of votes.

Based on the first reports obtained by PUKMEDIA, the Kirkuk is Our Strength & Will Coalition emerged as the winner with the highest number of votes in the special voting of Kirkuk. Similarly, the lists and coalitions affiliated with the PUK secured the majority of votes in Diyala, Salah ad Din, and Nineveh.

Based on the data gathered by PUKMEDIA from PUK observers at the polling stations, the voter turnout was exceptionally high. Here are a few examples of polling stations:

Hawraman High School in Kirkuk:
PUK received 51 votes
Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) received 21 votes
New Generation received 2 votes

Sabat School:
PUK received  70 votes
KDP received 24 votes
New Generation received 2 votes

Ahmadi Khani School in Erbil, which belongs to the Peshmerga Ministry Office Unit:
PUK received 334 votes
KDP received 316 votes
 
Kurdistani Nwe High School in Sulaymaniyah:
PUK received 407 votes
KDP received 1 vote
New Generation received 2 votes
 
In Takya Kakamand:
PUK received 407 votes
New Generation received 4 votes

Station 1 in Barde Qareman School:
PUK received 387 votes
New Generation received 4 votes

Based on the unofficial election results in Cham Mishko IDP Camp, located in the Sinjar district of Zakho autonomous administration, a total of 2,961 individuals cast their votes out of the 4630 eligible voters. Among the voters were 496 refugees who supported the PUK's Nineveh People's Coalition. The remaining individuals cast their votes for the KDP list as well as other Arab and Yezidi lists and groups.

Based on the observations of PUK monitors at the polling stations, there has been a big decline in the votes for the KDP in the IDP camps, while there has been a significant gain in the votes for the PUK.

Within the IDP camp located in Zakho, Duhok province, the PUK party secured 871 votes out of a total of 4,496 ballots, which accounts for 19 percent of the overall votes. There has been a substantial increase in the PUK's vote within these groupings.
