A delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) led by Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, a member of the Political Bureau, visited several political parties in Erbil.

The senior delegation arrived at the Kurdistan Communist Party headquarters, led by Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, a member of the Political Bureau and the head of the Relations Bureau, and included Faisal Karim Khan, Rebaz Birkoti, and Salar Lala Sarhad, members of the PUK Leadership Council. Kawa Mahmoud, the Central Committee Secretary, welcomed them warmly.

Following the meeting, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul addressed the media, saying, "Following the fifth congress of the PUK, we have actively pursued reconciliation and collaboration with all political parties." We intend to initiate a national dialogue and adequately prepare for the various potential scenarios that may arise in the region."

"We maintain constant contact with the Kurdistan Democratic Party and all other parties involved." Currently, our focus is on the ongoing Iraqi provincial council elections. However, it is important to note that our meetings will continue after the elections," he added.

"The political situation in Kurdistan and the surrounding area is delicate. As the PUK, we seek consensus among all forces and parties on addressing the prevailing difficulties in the Kurdistan Region," said Darbaz Kosrat Rasul.

Concerning the matter of communities, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul expressed: "There is a perspective claiming that the PUK holds a negative stance towards the communities; however, that is not the case. President Mam Jalal had a key role in the development of the community seat allocation system." "We want the communities to remain independent, so our issue is with how they are used. Unfortunately, the lack of political independence among the communities was evident during the last parliamentary session," he added.

Following that, the PUK delegation went to the Kurdistan Toilers' Party headquarters. Following their discussion, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul responded to a question during a press conference, saying, "Regrettably, salaries have once again become the focal point of discussion." The Kurdistan Regional Government is now in salary negotiations with the federal government, which necessitates the resolution of several issues."

He added, "The PUK and President Bafel in Baghdad have stressed that salaries should not be tied to political matters. Any group or party attempting to exploit salaries as a means to settle disputes will face severe consequences. Furthermore, Baghdad has pledged to address the salary matter after the start of the new year."

In addition, the PUK team held a press conference and visited the Kurdistan Conservative Party. "The Conservative Party has made significant sacrifices for the Kurdish people and has consistently supported and collaborated with the PUK throughout various stages," stated Darbaz Kosrat Rasul. As a result, we support them and the PUK holds them in the highest regard."

Najat Surchi, Secretary of the Kurdistan Conservative Party, thanked the PUK delegation for their visit. "Given our long history with the PUK, we are committed to further collaboration for the benefit of our people," he added.
