President Bafel: Law Must Be Real Guardian of Each Community's Rights in Iraq

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Judge Faiq Zidan, the President of Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council, in Baghdad.

During the meeting, President Bafel highlighted the PUK's commitment to promoting productive dialogue between political parties and forces. He also emphasised the importance of removing barriers and differences so that the Constitution and applicable laws serve as the final arbiters of disputes.

The discussion also touched on the rule of law and regional stability. President Bafel stated, "We firmly support the judiciary's independence, and the law must serve as the true defender of the rights of every community in Iraq."
