Iraqi President meets Peshmerga Ministry Secretary-General
The President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, met with Major General Bakhtyar Mohammed, the Secretary-General of the Peshmerga Ministry alongside his delegation. The meeting took place at the Baghdad Palace.
In addition to discussing the security situation in the Kurdistan Region, the meeting also discussed the situation elsewhere in Iraq.
There is a need for continued training and preparation of the Peshmerga forces and other security forces in order to enhance their combat capabilities, President Rashid and his guest shared the same views.
To further enhance security and stability, coordinated and joint action must be taken in a manner that maintains Iraq's sovereignty, and promotes prosperity and development for all Iraqis, His Excellency said.
During the meeting, the members of the visiting delegation reviewed the training plans. Additionally, they expressed their delight at meeting the President.
It was emphasized that His Excellency's valuable guidance has a significant impact on maintaining security gains and achieving stability in the country.
