President Bafel meets Rayan al-Kildani at Dabashan
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, received the Secretary-General of the Babylon Movement, Rayan al-Kildani, at Dabashan, Sulaymaniyah Province.
The meeting focused on the importance of cooperation and teamwork for the success of the political process in the country, as it covered the most recent political developments in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
President Bafel Jalal Talabani emphasized the significance of continuing the negotiations to settle the issues and work to revitalize the nation in all fields, saying that the Constitution must serve as the foundation for doing so and that "We must all fight to overcome challenges, and making sure that our citizens have a stable life is our national and historical duty."
Regarding the upcoming elections in the region and defending the rights of minorities, both sides agreed that minorities should have their own actual representatives and that no party should be permitted to make decisions on their behalf.
