President Bafel: Bahr al-Uloom family has always supported the Kurdish people

President Bafel's meeting with Bahr al-Uloom in Baghdad

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with prominent Iraqi figure Muhammad-Ibrahim Bahr al-Uloom in Baghdad.

Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, a member of the PUK Political Bureau Executive Board, attended the meeting where it was discussed how important it is to work together for the advancement of intellectual fields and to strengthen the spirit of unity and coexistence among all Iraqi peoples. Discussions on extending cultural coordination and cooperation between the President Jalal Talabani Foundation and Bahr al-Uloom were also held.

In the meeting, Bahr al-Uloom praised President Mam Jalal for his iconic and historic role, saying: "Our family respects President Mam Jalal's position and the wise policy he followed. We are pleased that President Bafel is continuing that policy, and we appreciate his efforts for the sake of stability in the country."

President Bafel responded by thanking the Bahr al-Uloom family for always standing out for the rights of the Kurdish people and for significantly advancing the spirit of coexistence.
