President Bafel: Our goal is to serve the Kirkuki people

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), affirmed the PUK's commitment to serving the people of Kirkuk.
On Monday, January 9th, President Bafel Talabani and Turkmen Front leader Hassan Turan met in Baghdad.
The discussion focused on the long-standing ties between the Kurds and Turkmen and the development and strengthening of the spirit of unity and coexistence. It also focused on the situation in Kirkuk and the changes there, as well as uniting efforts to normalize the situation in Kirkuk by fostering links between Kurds, Turkmen, Arabs, and other communities in a way that promotes coexistence and stability in the city.
In elaborating on the PUK's position and its efforts to serve Kirkuk, President Bafel said, "Our goal is to preserve the spirit of coexistence, acceptance of one another, and serving the Kirkuki people."
