The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) found on Sunday morning the body of a woman in a sewage in the fifth sector in Hawl camp, east of Hasakah, northeast Syria.

An exclusive source told North Press that the woman, who was found in the sector designated for Syrian IDPs with a trace of gun fire on her body, is unidentified so far.

Accordingly, the number of murders documented in the camp since early 2022 has risen to 27, which left 26 people dead; and they are as follows:

• Six Iraqi refugees, including two women.

• 11 Syrian people, including seven women.

• Eight unidentified women.

• A medic was killed in the post where he worked in the camp.

• An unidentified man

Hawl Camp, 45 km east of the city of Hasakah, is a house for 55.829 individuals, including 28.725 Iraqis, 18.850 Syrians and 8.254 of foreign nationalities, according to the latest statistics obtained by North Press.

The camp houses more than 35,000 children under the age of 17. In addition, the number of children of ISIS foreign detainees and dead members is about 5.797 under the age of 18, according to the camp’s management.

The camp witnesses murders with different methods, most notably firearms. The management of the camp fears that the latest Turkish threats of invading areas in northern Syria would pave the way for ISIS to reorganize its ranks.

Since the start of Turkish threats, with a new military operation in northern Syria, and the escalation of these threats every period, ISIS sleeper cells have been highly active, especially in Hawl Camp.
