For the first time, female referee oversees Kurdistan Football Cup

For the first time in history, a female referee watched over the final games of the Kurdistan Football Cup for men.
Shanaz Ali Ahmed was born in 1985 in the town of Ranya in Slemani Governorate. She graduated from Ranya Teachers Center Institute.
Ahmed was the first woman in Slemani to be trusted by the Kurdistan Football Association to be an official referee in 2016.
For the first time, as the first female referee in Kurdistan, she took over the task of managing the final game of the Kurdistan Cup.
Ahmed led the men's football match in the Kurdistan Cup finals, which ended with the winning of Brayati Club over the Newroz Club.
