PUK co-president meets Secretary General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars

Lahur Talabani, the co-president of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, on Sunday at the politburo of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan welcomed Professor Dr Ali Qaradaghi, Secretary General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, and an accompanying delegation from the University of Human Development, and Humanitarian League of Kurdistan.
In the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the latest developments in Iraq and Kurdistan Region in all aspects, and the need for continuous sincere and constructive dialogue to resolve the outstanding issues, putting aside the political differences and avoiding dominance, accusations against one another, and harsh rhetoric.
Talabani reaffirmed the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s will for settling the problems, maintaining unity and harmony between all the factions for the sake of the interests of our people based on real partnership.
PUK's co-president praised Professor Dr Ali Qaradaghi’s continuous work and efforts in defending our people’s legitimate demands in the international meetings and forums.
For his part, Ali Qaradaghi expressed his appreciation to the co-president of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan for his realistic stances and views on all issues, wishing him continued success.
