Iraqi President meets Iraqi Army Chief of Staff Lt. General Abdul Amir Yarallah

Baghdad- The President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih on Wednesday met with the Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, First Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Yarallah. The meeting was held at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad.
During the meeting, recent developments related- security matters in Iraq, in addition to ongoing military operations being carried out to chase some remaining cell of terrorism that still threaten security and stability in some part of Iraqi cities, were discussed.
Lt. General Abdul Amir Yarallah briefed the President about the recent military operations against ISIS.
State's authority and its security agencies should be enhanced to better enforce Iraqi law and protect citizens, President Salih said, while the capacity of our security services in all kinds in terms of training and arming should be strengthened to carry out their tasks and to develop their fighting capacities.
There should be joint security coordination to meet the challenges and address the flaws in the security system, the President added, with focus on preventing terrorists from undermining security and stability in parts of Iraq.
