Saladin School in Duhok is considered the oldest school in the governorate which dates back to more than 100 years.
Salar Muhammad, the school's principal, told PUKmedia, that the school dates back to 1900 during the Ottoman era, noting that the school was moved 3 times, and with the establishment of the Iraqi state in 1922, the government worked to consider that year the year of the construction of government departments and institutions, including Saladin School.
