Symeon G. Tsomokos, Founder and President of the Delphi Forum, has reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to continuing its international forum in Sulaymaniyah, describing the city as an important hub for political and economic dialogue in the region.
Speaking ahead of the second Delphi Forum Sulaymaniyah, he said the initiative will continue despite regional challenges, bringing together policymakers, business leaders and investors to discuss key geopolitical and economic issues.
Tsomokos noted that the forum, which is held in major global cities including Washington, Brussels, Paris and Berlin, is expanding its international reach while strengthening its presence in Sulaymaniyah for a second consecutive year.
He highlighted discussions on regional stability, Kurdistan’s role in the Middle East, and investment opportunities, adding that dialogue initiated in Sulaymaniyah will continue in international capitals.
He also thanked Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani for his support in organising the event, and praised Sulaymaniyah as a historic city with strong potential for growth.
Tsomokos said the forum aims to become a long-term institution in the city, adding: “We are going to continue to do this event in Sulaymaniyah.”
