PUK President, Al-Asas Alliance Leader Stress Continued Dialogue to Form New Iraqi Government

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Muhsin al-Mandalawi, leader of the Iraqi Al-Asas Alliance.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Muhsin al-Mandalawi, leader of the Iraqi  Al-Asas Alliance, at President Mam Jalal’s house in Baghdad.

The meeting, which was attended by Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, member of the PUK Political Bureau, focused on the general situation in the country and stressed the importance of continuing national dialogue among political forces and parties in order to ensure the successful formation of the new government.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to agreements reached and emphasised the importance of relying on constitutional principles to resolve outstanding issues and establish a strong and service-oriented government.
