“On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we extend our congratulations to all women in Kurdistan and around the world. We pay tribute to the efforts and struggles of the brave and determined women who continue to work to strengthen the position of women in Kurdish society,” Talabani wrote in a post on his Facebook page.
