The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has congratulated its supporters in Baghdad following the party’s success in securing a parliamentary seat in the capital.
Mr. Nizar Amedi, Head of the PUK Political Bureau in Baghdad, expressed his gratitude to the party’s supporters for their participation in the parliamentary elections and their strong backing of the PUK candidate, Dr. Ayat Adham, running under the Reconstruction and Development Coalition. Dr. Ayat Adham secured the trust of voters and won the parliamentary seat.
“This victory reflects the dedication and commitment of our supporters, whose participation ensured that the voices of Baghdad’s Kurdish community were represented in parliament,” Mr. Amedi said. He added that the outcome affirms the active role of Kurds in Baghdad as an integral part of Iraq’s national framework, committed to the principles of the PUK and the legacy of the late President Mam Jalal Talabani.
The PUK also extended appreciation to organising committees, party members in Baghdad, and security forces, recognising their efforts in supporting a successful electoral process.
The Political Bureau concluded by congratulating Dr. Ayat Adham on her election victory and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to working alongside Baghdad’s Kurdish community to advance their interests and contribute to the development of the city and its people.
