PUK Political Bureau in Baghdad Honours Families of Martyrs

The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Baghdad received families of martyrs on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, at its headquarters in the Iraqi capital.
Bestun Adil, Deputy Head of the Political Bureau, welcomed a large number of relatives of those who sacrificed their lives for freedom and in defence of the PUK.
During the meeting, Mr Adil expressed his deep appreciation for the martyrs’ sacrifices and their pivotal role in shaping the history of the PUK. He emphasised that the party’s victories and achievements are the result of the blood and bravery of honourable martyrs, whose sacrifices illuminated the path of struggle and paved the way for today’s freedom.
For their part, the martyrs’ families reaffirmed their commitment to continue on the PUK’s path. They also voiced their full support for the PUK’s candidate in Baghdad, Dr Ayat Adam, acknowledging her dedication to serving the families of martyrs.
