Darbaz Kosrat Rasul and Steven Bitner: Unity and Dialogue Key to Resolving Challenges

Darbaz Kosrat Rasul and Steven Bitner meet on Tuesday.
Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, member of the Political Bureau and Head of the Relations Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Steven Bitner, the Consul General of the U.S., at the Political Bureau’s headquarters in Erbil today.
The meeting took place during the visit of the U.S. Consul General, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic mission.
Darbaz Kosrat Rasul expressed his appreciation to the U.S. for its continued support and attention to the Kurdistan Region.
Both sides emphasised the importance of resolving outstanding issues between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad through dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation.
They also exchanged views on the formation of the new cabinet and the ongoing efforts to reorganise the Peshmerga forces. In light of the current sensitive circumstances, they agreed that unity and understanding remain essential to overcoming the region’s challenges and crises.
