Asayish Agency Arrests 5 Terrorists in Sulaymaniyah

The Kurdistan Region Security (Asayish) Agency has announced the arrest of several terrorists near the borders of Sulaymaniyah Governorate.

In a statement, Asayish revealed that, in collaboration with the Iraqi National Security Service, it conducted operations in Sulaymaniyah, leading to the capture of five ISIS terrorists.

The statement further explained that these operations were executed based on intelligence information and a decision issued by the investigating judge of the Asayish Agency. The efforts involved thorough surveillance to identify the terrorists’ hiding location.

It was noted that the arrested individuals had fled to Sulaymaniyah to seek refuge and are wanted under Article 4 of Terrorism by federal courts. Investigations into their activities remain ongoing.
