PUK President: Disastrous Oil Policy Will Not Be Applied to the Gas

On Saturday, October 5, 2024, in the presence of Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), the third campaign rally of the PUK took place at Koya Stadium in Koya, Erbil governorate, where the candidates of PUK List 129 for the sixth term of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections were introduced.
Koya people have paid a heavy price
PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani delivered a speech at the rally, stating: "Koya is the city of martyrs and President Mam Jalal. It has always supported the PUK and it has always been green and I know that the people of Koya have paid a heavy price for supporting the PUK.”
The disastrous policy applied to the oil will not be applied to the gas
President Bafel further stated: "Only the PUK can end this authoritarian rule, as we see our nation with impartiality. Be sure, we will not let the repetition of the disastrous policy applied to the oil for the gas. I will never handover the gas to an authoritarian government."
PUK President to Masrour Barzani: Let's debate
"I challenged Mr. Masrour Barzani earlier and I repeat it here. Come on and let's debate and see which of our programmes is good for Kurdistan," he added."

"(My Account) is neither mine nor yours. It is Masrour's account. The employees' must nationalise their salaries, not register for ‘My Account’," he stated.
Other parties delete comments
Moreover, President Bafel said: "If you vote for the PUK, we will use our force to make Koya an independent administration. The PUK is not like some parties. It listens to you. Other parties delete comments, but we don't."
The sixth term of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections is scheduled to take place on October 20, 2024. The PUK is contesting with PUK List 129 and 172 candidates under the slogans "Correcting the Course of Governance" and "We Will End It."
