PUK Delegation Celebrates 75th Anniversary of People's Republic of China

The celebration of 75th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China
A senior delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) attended the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and was received by Liu Jun, Consul General of the People's Republic of China.
Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and Deputy Head of the Foreign Relations Department Daban Shadala attended the ceremony. They congratulated the Chinese Consul General and the people, appreciating China's contribution to the extensive relations with the Kurdistan Region.
A senior delegation from the PUK and the PUK Relations Bureau, present at the ceremony, extended their congratulations to the Consulate of the People's Republic of China on this national occasion and emphasised the deep and historical tie between the PUK and its development.
A delegation from the Bureau of Media and Awareness was also in attendance. Liu Jun formally extended an invitation to Dr. Adalat Abdullah, editor-in-chief of Kurdistani Nwe newspaper, Atta Karim, editor-in-chief of the official PUK website (PUKMEDIA), and Ardallan Abdullah, a writer and journalist. They also highlighted the importance of enhancing media, cultural, and intellectual relations.
In his speech, CG Jun discussed the country's strategy regarding economy, trade, technology, and culture with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. He stated, "Iraq and the Kurdistan Region hold significant importance for the People's Republic of China," highlighting the academic and cultural institutions present, particularly in Sulaymaniyah University and Salahaddin University.
