Kirkuk Governor Rebwar Taha received a delegation from the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) and stressed the importance of coexistence and ensuring security and peace in the city.

Governor Taha said during the meeting: "A national will created the Kirkuk Administration and our priority is to boost coexistence and services in this city."

He added: “We established a Coexistence Council led by ourselves, comprising representatives from the provincial council members, official institutions, unions, federations, elites, tribes, and endowments. Our objective is to develop solutions and a coexistence plan that will promote the progress of Kirkuk."

He emphasised the significance of foreign organisations in the process of reconstructing the liberated regions and facilitating the return of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)s under the supervision and support of the federal government.

The Director of the UNAMI's Office in Kirkuk has shown his readiness to support and assist the administration in fulfilling its responsibilities. represented his support for the efforts of representations and organisations in Kirkuk to promote their activities in the city.
