The spokesperson for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), asserts that the governor of Kirkuk is a determined and loyal individual who made significant sacrifices to defend the province and never abandoned the citizens of Kirkuk.
During a press conference in Kirkuk, PUK Spokesperson Saadi Ahmed Pire stated: "By working together, all communities can effectively meet the needs of Kirkuk residents and create a better environment for future generations. From this perspective, as the city's dominant force, the PUK feels an increased sense of responsibility and is working hard to reach an agreement with the communities."
"We believe that those parties who have not participated in the Kirkuk local government are not acting freely and their decisions are not theirs. Any attempt to create division in Kirkuk is unacceptable. On the contrary, we want all parties and communities to participate in Kirkuk's local government in order to serve the people, and the PUK is facilitating this through the governor," Pire stated.
"We will support the governor of Kirkuk for his dedication to service, peace, and harmonious coexistence in the city... I am pleased that one of Kirkuk's devoted sons was elected governor of Kirkuk in a democratic election. Kirkuk people elected the most qualified candidate for governor," he added.
