The General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG), the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service (CTS), and Global Coalition forces captured an Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist in the Daquq district.
The CTG General Directorate reported: "As part of the ongoing efforts to eliminate remaining terrorists and their sleeper cells, a terrorist was apprehended in the Daquq district as part of a collaborative operation with the Iraqi CTS and Global Coalition forces."
The arrested terrorist (M.A.H), born in 1989, who previously served with ISIS, sought refuge in Kirkuk province and settled in Daquq following the organisation's defeat in Iraq. He worked there as a shepherd and farmer, according to the statement.
Additionally, CTG said that the arrested terrorist was being pursued by Iraqi courts in accordance with Article 4 of the Counter-Terrorism Law. He was immediately delivered to the authorities for legal retribution."
