Over 1500 IDPs Return to Their Regions From 4 Camps in Erbil

A total of over 1,500 individuals who were displaced were recently relocated back to their homes in Anbar and Nineveh provinces, having previously resided in four camps located in Erbil. The Ministry of Migration and Displaced has officially announced that there would be further IDPs returning in the near future.
In a statement, the Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displaced reported that on August 7, 2024, a total of 1,577 IDPs have returned to their homes in Nineveh and Anbar from Erbil. The IDPs were residing in Khazir, Hassan Sham, Harsham, and Bahrka camps.
As per the statement, the IDPs who have come back from the four camps would receive financial aid, humanitarian support, and other resources to establish themselves in their regions.
