DPM Talabani: Elections Must Be Held Promptly Without Further Delay

Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani held a meeting with Italian Ambassador to Iraq Maurizio Greganti to discuss the most recent advancements in the political arena, particularly focusing on the matter of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections.
The meeting took place on Tuesday, at Dabashan, Sulaymaniyah. It was attended by Michele Camerota, the Italian Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, and Daban Shadala, the Deputy Head of the KRG's Foreign Relations Office. The main topics of discussion were recent political changes and the matter of holding parliamentary elections.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming electoral process for the next term of the Kurdistan Parliament. He emphasised the importance of activating the legislative powers to better serve the citizens of Kurdistan. He emphasised: "We strongly express our perspectives and elections must be conducted promptly without any further postponement."
