P.U.K 10:31 PM - 2024-01-17PUK President & UK Ambassador
The British Ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Hitchen, had a
meeting with Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of
Kurdistan (PUK), at the PUK Political Bureau headquarters in Erbil.
The PUK's Relations Bureau Head, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul,
attended the meeting and they talked about the latest developments in politics
and security. Both sides concurred that to address the current issues and
protect national interests, all necessary steps must be taken.
President Bafel stated, "The repeated assaults are a
matter of serious concern. The neighboring countries and the international community
should recognise and value the sovereignty of the Kurdistan Region and
Iraq." The current situation does not lend itself to violence, so every
effort should be made to bring about peace and stability."
