Qubad Talabani meets a US delegation in Sulaymaniyah

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister, received a high-level US delegation led by Terry Wolff, the Deputy Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.

The White House Secretary of State for Iraq and Syria Affairs, Emily Barnes, attended the meeting, which was held in the province of Sulaymaniyah. The Deputy Prime Minister stated that participation from all government parties in decision-making is necessary for effective governance.

Additionally, he thanked the United States for its ongoing assistance to the Kurdistan Region and urged them to keep doing so in order to help the region develop economically and secure a comprehensive, long-term agreement between Erbil and Baghdad.
