The Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) of the Kurdistan Region is a national force that is respected throughout the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and even the rest of the world. It is seen as a young and capable force, and support from other countries for it is steadily growing.

In a brief period over the course of the past month, a number of foreign delegations stopped by the CTG's offices and met with Wahab Halabjay, the organization's director general, to offer their support and gratitude for their bravery in battling crime and terrorism.

President Bafel: The CTG is willing to take action against any target from anywhere
"The reality is that CTG works theatre-wide with all of our allies, and we're willing to take action against any target from anywhere that we think is viable or that our allies think is viable." And we have done so. We have lots of arrests that we've sent to the south, lots of arrests that we've taken care of, but I'd prefer not to go into the actual processes. But the generality is yes: wherever information comes from, we work; we work against terrorism; we work everywhere. "There's no real boundary," said Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, during an interview with Iraq Oil Report.

"They are heroes," he added.
Iraq relies on CTG

The CTG is a powerful, capable force that the Iraqi security forces rely on.

The CTG and Kirkuk Police have met several times recently to discuss how to maintain overall peace in Iraq and in the Kurdish territories that are not under the control of the Kurdistan Region specifically.

Danish Ambassador: We will support the CTG
The CTG's activities are acknowledged around the world and have grown to be a powerful tool in the fight against terrorism. Italian and Danish diplomatic and military delegations have recently paid the CTG a visit. "We will provide Kurdistan's CTG additional help for the sake of peace and stability," the Danish ambassador to Iraq, Christian Thorning, stated during a visit to the CTG.
The CTG is trusted by the people
The CTG has conducted numerous operations to seek out terrorists, apprehended a number of them, and brought them before the law, earning the trust of the Kurdish people.

A military specialist informed PUKMEDIA that the CTG is a trustworthy national force for the people of Iraq and Kurdistan. This force is also trustworthy globally, and its relationships are growing daily.

The recent visits by international delegations to CTG commanders are a response to the scenario created by the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), the military expert stated. "The CTG cannot be tainted by PUBG-like scenarios."
The CTG has covered up the weakness and withdrawal of other forces
The CTG has consistently covered the flaws, failures, and withdrawals of other forces, including sizable ones that carried the sacred banner of fighting terrorism, but these forces never actually contributed anything to the fight against terrorism and instead joined the PUK's CTG in its victories and sacrifices in order to profit from them and boast in front of the cameras.
