The leaders of five of the political parties in the Kurdistan Region

One of the most crucial elements for the development and stability of the Kurdistan Region as well as greater success in Baghdad is the unity of the Kurdish parties, which is encouraged.

Twenty political groups from the Kurdistan Region participated in a meeting that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) arranged. Once more serving as a platform for the unification of all political forces, President Mam Jalal's house is the ideal method for maintaining political stability and promoting unity, particularly when it comes to reconstructing the division of the Kurdish political house.

This division is detrimental to Kurds

“One of the most crucial elements for the development and stability of the Kurdistan Region, whether as a political entity or as a security and social security system”, according to Nask Tofiq, a member of the Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), was revealed to PUKMEDIA. “When they travel to Iraq to seek Kurdish rights, all parties are united in their desire for Kurdish rights”.

She continued, "Nearby countries would undoubtedly use us against one another to preserve their own interests if we are not united, divided, and act against one another.

The situation in the Kurdistan Region is delicate

The Kurdish people's rights will be protected and the structure of the Kurdistan Region will be greatly impacted by unity.

 The Gorran Movement's legal chamber secretary, Choman Mohammed, told PUKMEDIA that “the Kurdistan Region's situation is extremely delicate and fraught”.

Mohammed warned that” if things went on as they were, the region's infrastructure would suffer significantly, and Iraq's strength would deteriorate day by day, endangering our legal and constitutional rights”. 

"The PUK's initiative for unification is significant and necessary for this delicate and hazardous scenario facing the region, but only if it aspires to unite the Kurdish people and unity on key issues."

A Unifying Council 

The rights of the Kurdish people will be secured by the cooperation of the Kurdish parties inside a council. 

According to Salar Sarhad, the PUK's head of the Kurdistan Relations Board, "the establishment of a council in the area will strengthen the unity of the political parties."

Salar Sarhad asserted that "this political council will be of great assistance to the administration and parliament since any issues affecting the region may be debated and resolved by this council."

Achievement and unity

More progress has been made in Baghdad whenever the Kurdish parties have reached an understanding.

Whenever the Kurdish political parties came together, they would advance the interests of the Kurdish people, according to Sadiq Jabari, a member of the Administrative Board of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Socialist Democratic Party (KSDP). “The success of any Kurdish demand in Iraq, especially with the federal government (Iraqi Government), has been attributed to the parties' cooperation, which has been in the best interests of the Kurdistan Region's citizens”.

He claimed that “the reason why our opponents treat us poorly is because of the political parties' separation and lack of unity, which shows the weakness and national disintegration of the people of the Kurdistan Region."

The Socialist Party has consistently backed initiatives that promote togetherness, according to Jabari.

An effort is being made to bring the Kurdish parties together under the direction of Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the PUK, in order to safeguard the region's physical infrastructure and improve services for residents. Political parties are also in favor of the PUK's initiative.
