On Monday, the Slemani Court announced that they are working to launch a video conference system in trials, stressing that the system application is the first of its kind in Iraq.

The court stated, "Efforts are continuing to expand electronic services in the courts and activate the video conference system during the trial."

The court revealed that Jassem Jaza, President of the Court of Appeal, visited several departments to closely review the conditions of the detainees and address the problems.

Jaza discussed the application of the video conferencing system in the courts, calling for the beginning of implementation procedures by providing all the necessary requirements to provide the electronic service.

It is noteworthy that the video conferencing system, with its application at the Slemani Court of Appeal, is the first of its kind in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, which provides more calmness for the accused, facilitates tasks, and reduces the expenses of the accused transportations.
