Kurdish writer and journalist receives prestigious Arab award

Khalid Suleiman, a writer, journalist, and environmental activist has been awarded the Samir Kassir Award for Press Freedom, which is one of the European Union's awards that have been presented in Arab countries for the 17th year in a row.

Khaled Suleiman has been selected this year for his research on the environment and the effects of climate change in the Middle East.

In his research, Khalid Suleiman highlights all the changes in the environment in the region and the world which urges Arab countries to hold a summit to find ways to improve the climate.
