Silver Jubilee of Galawezh Festival ends in Slemani

The 25th Galawezh International Festival ended on Saturday with the distribution of awards to winning nominees in Slemani.

At the beginning of the closing ceremony, Mala Bakhtiar, the supervisor of the festival, delivered the closing speech.

Then the speeches of the committees in the field of “story, research, and poetry” were presented by the head of the evaluation and judging committees, and prizes were distributed to the winners, who were:

Poetry Awards :

First Prize: Dildar Mohammed & Dastan Marf Karim

Second Prize: Shwan Tofiq Yasin

Third Prize: - Gulala Osman

Research Awards:

First Prize: Mohsin Abdulrahman and Arian Salim Khadr.

Second Prize: Mohammad Haqmoradi

Third Prize: Mohammed Nabi Ibrahim

Story Awards:

First Prize: Dilbrin Abdulfattah and Khatra Mohammadi

Second Prize: Anwar Arab.

Third Prize: Karwan Mohammed Fatah and Amjad Gholami.

Galawezh, a literary festival in Slemani that has endured for two decades, kicked off last Wednesday.

Organizers of the festival have named this year’s activities as Silver Jubilee as it entered its 25th anniversary.

The festival includes several artistic and literary forums and activities.

Dozens of Kurdish and foreign authors and artists will attend the festival, according to the festival’s organizers.

Galawezh is an annual literary-cultural festival organized by the Galawezh Foundation, which distributes literary competition prizes to authors, poetry, and research winners by the festival committee at the end.
