Marathon, cycling race held in Slemani

A marathon and a cycling race took place in Slemani on the occasion of the beginning of spring season, the Slemani Sports Directorate announced on Saturday.

"We signed a protocol with Asia Cell company to sponsor 8 activists during this season and today two of the activists, which were a cycling race and a 2 kilometers marathon were successfully held," director of Sports Directorate, Karwan Zirak Nuri said in a statement.

Zahra Qatarani, a cycler of the Newroz club, won first place in the women's cycling race while Nia Hadi and Iman Haider followed in second and third places

Alan Jamal won first place in the men's cycling race followed by Ayad Muhammad in second place.

Meanwhile, Bnar Muhammad won first place in the men's marathon followed by Bakhitar Najamadin in second place. 

Paria Mahmood won first place in the women's marathon followed by Sozyar Faraidun in second place.

After the end of the competitions, prizes were given to the participants.
