Kirkuk and Khanaqin face Arabization officially

Reports 10:39 PM - 2022-03-10

Families and individuals from Baghdad and other cities in southern Iraq are transferring their records to Kirkuk and Khanaqin.

In the past, the Arabization operation was carried out in secret, while it is now taking place publicly and through official lists, according to revealed documents.

Arabization continues with a modern mechanism. The process has more impact on changing the demographics of the Kurdish regions outside the Kurdistan Region's administration.

According to Article 140 and the decision of the Iraq Disputed Regions Committee, it is prohibited to transfer residents and their ration cards to cities if it changes the demographic of the areas.

Only in 4 years, 4,230 families were displaced from the Khanaqin district.

The disputed areas of Kurdistan are facing a major disaster:

The issue of the disputed areas has been completely marginalized as a result of the lack of a national project and the parties' preoccupation with secondary conflicts.

The despair of the citizens from not being defended is pushing them to leave their areas for the foreign Arabs.

4,230 Kurdish families moved from the districts and villages of Khanaqin, Jalawla, Saadiya, Jabara, and Qarqba to the Kurdistan Region.

The mass departure represents the most dangerous signs and threats, which must be stopped immediately.

In the center of the Khanaqin district, 36 Kurdish villages were evacuated.

It was suggested to hold a national conference to discuss the issue of the disputed areas.

The following documents and hundreds of others that are not available are showing that the Arabization process continues systematically.

Article 140 has been completely frozen, and everyone remains silent about these threats and risks about the Kurdish areas.
