Bafel Jalal Talabani: We will continue to support the struggle of women

Bafel Jalal Talabani, on Tuesday, congratulated women on the occasion of International Women's Day.

Bafel Jalal  Talabani said in a statement:

On the occasion of International Women's Day, I extend my warmest congratulations to women in Kurdistan and the world.

It is clear that women have played an important and effective role in our history in confronting injustice and have made great sacrifices for the sake of equality and social justice. 

Today we commemorate all those diligent women and look at their struggle with gratitude, at the same time we consider ourselves real supporters of women.

I announce with great concern that the statistics of violence against women are on the rise, and so far this bad phenomenon continues within our society, so on this anniversary, institutions and relevant authorities must pledge to punish and put an end to such mentalities and those people who still believe that honor in killing women.

 
therefore, we support women in Kurdistan and stand against any discrimination and injustice. We look with great importance to the role and position of women in society and consider the consolidation of women's rights of our long-standing struggle.
