Slemani: Arab Fencing Championship begins

The Arab Fencing Championship is scheduled to be held in the city of Slemani on Friday.
 
The tournament will start at 7:00 pm in Slemani Club fencing halls, and 14 Arab countries will participate in the championship who have been absent from championships held in Iraq for 3 decades.

Tournament Media Coordinator Azhar Ali told PUKmedia, "14 countries have agreed to participate in the Arab Fencing Championship, which will be held in Slemani."

"The Iraqi Fencing Federation has completed all the necessary procedures to receive the participating delegations, including obtaining entry visas for all arrivals to Slemani," Ali added.

He also stressed that there is a good cooperation between the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, the Iraqi Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Slemani Sports Club for the success of this tournament.

The halls of the Slemani Sports Club are scheduled to host the Arab Fencing Championship matches.
