PUK bloc MPs visit Kirkuk's recently attacked Bay Hassan oil field

A delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc in the Iraqi Council of Representatives on Thursday visited the Bay Hassan oil field in the Kirkuk governorate, which was subjected to a terrorist attack several days ago.


Representative Dilan Ghafour said during a special statement to PUKmedia that "Today, Representative Mariwan Nader and I visited the Bay Hassan oil field in Kirkuk governorate, which was subjected to a terrorist attack."


"This terrorist attack led to the loss of three thousand barrels of oil until the control of the fire that broke out due to the wells bombing," she added.


She explained that during the visit, they stressed the need to close the security vacuums in the region and take the necessary security measures to prevent the recurrence of such terrorist attacks.


ISIS terrorist groups attacked one of the oil wells of Bai Hassan oil field in Kirkuk Governate on Tuesday night.


The terrorist attack resulted in the death and injury of several security elements protecting the well.
