     Kurdistan Region: Rare drop in temperatures

The Department of Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring in the Kurdistan Region described the sudden drop in temperatures, that the Kurdistan Region is witnessing, during the current season as a rare case.

 

The Department said during a statement that the temperatures in some mountain areas has reached less than 10 degrees Celsius, stressing that the lowest temperature was recorded in the Kani Masi and Penjwen stations of Sulaymaniyah governorate, and they were 7 degrees Celsius.

 

She adding that the center of the governorates of the Kurdistan Region were close to recording 15 degrees Celsius in a situation considered rare during this season and month.

 

Stressing that temperatures will gradually rise by one to two degrees, starting tomorrow, Wednesday.
