Amid the search for the infect individuals with the globally recognized COVID-19 virus, 6 people tested positive for the virus on Sunday in Erbil and Duhok provinces, according to a KRG health ministry statement.
Four of individuals are from Erbil province's Ankawa district, one lives inside the city of Erbil, and the other is from Duhok province's Kalak district.
Three of the confirmed cases had contact with yesterday's confirmed cases in Erbil, the statement said, adding that the rest were showing the COVID-19 symptoms.
As of Monday night, the total number of coronavirus cases in the Kurdistan Region has reached 502. Of this number, 403 have recovered, 5 have died, 94 are under medical care.
