     Coronavirus: 8 new cases in Kurdistan region

The Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region has announced the registration of 8 new infections with the coronavirus on Saturday.


In a statement, the Ministry said that, as part of its efforts to diagnose coronavirus infections, 8 new infections were recorded in five women, aged 67, 47, 47, 38, 37, and 3 men aged 57, 37, and 26 years old.


Adding that only one of the cases was infected as a result of contact with a previous patient and another cases that returned back from abroad recently, and he is from Ranya District of Sulaymaniyah governorate.


The Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region announced earlier on Saturday, the registration of 5 new infections with the coronavirus in Duhok Governorate.


The Ministry also announced the registration of a new infection with the new virus in the governorate of Erbil, as well as the registration of a case of recovery in the governorate.
