Erbil records 1 new coronavirus case: Health Ministry

Amid the search for the infect individuals with the globally recognized COVID-19 virus, a doctor tested positive for the virus on Saturday in Kurdistan Region's Capital Erbil, according to a health ministry statement.


"Amid the search for the suspected cases of being infected with the coronavirus, an individual tested positive for the virus in Erbil province." the statement read. 


The confirmed cases is 38 year old doctor, studying for PhD in Baghad. Following his return from Baghdad and conducting test, his test came out positive, the ministry said. 


Earlier today, the KRG Health Ministry also confirmed the recovery of coronavirus patient in Erbil.


As of today, the total number of recovery cases in Erbil have reached 211.
