     U.S. government implements projects in Sinjar worth over $4 million

The US Consulate General in the Kurdistan Region on Thursday, announced the allocation of more than 4 million US dollars to implement the projects in Shankal.

 

The consulate said in a statement on Thursday 21/5/2020: "The US Consul General, Steve Fagin held a television interview with with Yezidi activist and Nobel laureate Nadia Murad to discuss her ongoing work to help Yezidis return to Sinjar."

 

The U.S. government is implementing projects in Sinjar worth over $4 million, including support of Nadia's Initiative. Noting that Washington continues to work with the Iraqi federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to improve security conditions to help more Yezidis return home.
