An Italian mission discovered an important archaeological site in Duhok province, Kurdistan Region.
"Archaeological discovery by Italian and Iraqi Kurdish Archaeologists on the trail of the Assyrian Empire," Iraqi Museum posted on its official Facebook page on Monday.
"The relics included ten new rock inscriptions showing Assyrian kings and Assyrian gods," it added.
