On Saturday, Saadi Ahmed Pira, a member of the political bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), stressed the need to ensure the rights of the people of Kurdistan in any change to the permanent constitution.
Pira said during a press conference attended by PUKmedia: "The Constitution allowed making changes in its articles, but it is important to ensure the rights of the Kurdistan region, public freedoms and freedom of women in any change in it."
He added: "The changes in the Constitution is normal because the Iraqi Constitution has defined the road map for changes through two constitutional articles."
