Purging an airport and two villages in Anbar desert

The forces of the 17th Brigade in the Hashd al-Shaabi, on Thursday, purged an airport and two villages in the desert of Anbar south of the international road adjacent to the holy cities of Karbala and Najaf to reach the Saudi-Iraqi border.


In a statement, Hashd al-Shaabi said: Today, September 19, 2019, the forces of the 17th Brigade in Hashd al-Shaabi managed to purge the Al-Tabat airport, the village of Al-Nahidayn and Al-Alwan to the Iraqi-Saudi border.


"The operation comes within the third day of the fifth phase of the operations of the Will to Victory, which was launched last Monday," the statement added.
