On Wednesday, Babil police announced the arrest of four drug traffickers for the crime of possession of more than 1,850 narcotic pills in different parts of the province.
Babil police spokesman Brigadier, Adil al-Husseini said in a statement obtained by PUKmedia: "Al-Kifil checkpoint police directorate managed to arrest two drug dealers from Najaf province with 1850 narcotic tablets 01."
The statement added: "Another security force of the martyr Lt. Col. Salam Shnon at the junction of the Nile area, the northern entrance to the center of the city of Hilla and through continuous searches and checks of people and vehicles arrested suspects from the Muthanna people accused of possessing a quantity of narcotic pills in two separate operations."
According to the statement, the detainees were transferred to a security detention center for interrogation, and the seizures were duly seized.
